What a walkthrough can honestly say before launch
Sources checked Steam store page for AppID 2378230 and demo appdetails for AppID 2474130, 7 Nov 2026. Press kit at nefariouslair.com read the same day.
There is no official step-by-step walkthrough on the Steam store page. The full game was still coming soon on 7 November 2026, with a planned date of 9 November 2026.
The published route is three verbs, not a puzzle key: investigate with interaction blocks, drive under the Highway Authority System, and shoot in short showdowns.
The free demo, AppID 2474130, is the first chapter. Its store text says you explore the waterline, try to get back home, and work on a murder you do not remember.
Teaser names on the full-game page (mite-infested water, a mutant rat lady, a holographic car, mr.tickles) are not a room order. This page does not turn them into one.
A walkthrough, for a game that is not out yet, can only point at the sentences Steam has published. This page does that. It does not list item combinations, dialogue choices, or a path through chapter 1. Those were not on the store page or the press kit on 7 November 2026. Copying them from a video would be a spoiler this site is not willing to print as fact.
Where the full game stood
On 7 November 2026 the full game, AppID 2378230, was coming_soon: true with the date 9 Nov 2026. The store page said the game was not yet available and that it planned to unlock in about two days. There were no user reviews. package_groups was empty, so this page has no price to attach to a “buy this, then do that” step.
The press kit still says the release date is TBD. Use the Steam date as the store’s current plan, and expect the client, once it unlocks, to be newer than either page.
The only published sequence
Starblade’s store text and the press kit both reduce play to investigate, drive, and shoot. That is the closest thing to a walkthrough the official pages give you.
- Investigate. Interaction blocks are context-sensitive. The store says they change as you explore objects and as relationships with citizens change. Looking and using are the point-and-click layer. The pages checked do not name the verbs on the icons.
- Drive. Races are a separate arcade sequence on neon streets. The Highway Authority System is the rule the store bothers to print: too slow is fatal, not just a ticket. No track list is attached.
- Shoot. A showdown asks you to hit threats, spare bystanders, and time the shot. The store does not print a health bar, a damage number, or a boss order.
The press kit says the same trio in one line: “Investigate, drive and blast your way to the answers you seek.” It also says icons multiply the more you interface with objects, which matches the store’s interaction-block bullet. It does not add a puzzle.
What the first-chapter demo claims
The demo is a separate Steam app, 2474130, free, dated 7 Feb 2025 in appdetails. The full-game store page calls it the first chapter and says it is live.
The demo description is the most concrete “what you do” paragraph available:
- Explore the waterline of the Drowned City.
- Do it as Buster 09.
- Investigate, drive, and shoot “through the dregs.”
- Try to find your way back home.
- Work on a murder you have no memory of committing.
The full-game page’s demo blurb is a mood line, not a checklist. It tells you to splash in “flesh-eating mite-infested waters,” meet “a giant mutant rat lady,” take “a holographic car” for a spin “in a synthetic universe,” and say hello to “mr.tickles” if you meet him. Those four images are all the page gives. It does not say which comes first, which is optional, or which is a character versus a joke.
What the screenshots are allowed to prove
Six store frames are on the homepage. One shows a dock and floodwater, one a third-person highway, one a shoot-out whose UI reads BUSTER and THE LIZARD, one an alley with uniformed figures, one a car against a skyline, and one a round green room. They show that investigation scenes, a driving view, and a shoot-out view exist in the store’s art.
They are not a walkthrough. The UI name “THE LIZARD” is pixels in a screenshot. The store page never explains that fight, so this site does not turn the name into a boss guide.
After 9 November
When the full game unlocks, a real walkthrough would need the client: chapter titles, the order of the three verbs, and any puzzle the store still has not written down. Until an official post or the game itself prints those steps, this page stays a frame, not a solution. The guide holds the spec sheet. The locations page holds the place names that are safe to repeat.
